Pia Jane Bijkerk is an Australian author and photographic artist who reveals her deep connection to and respect for the natural world in all that she creates. Her visual storytelling and written works are an expression of her experiences with Nature past, present and future, seeking to stir the heart and ancient self of each viewer.

Her photographic work has been published in magazines and books around the world over the past decade, and as a writer she has written articles for numerous international publications including a monthly column for Australian Country Style Magazine (2013–2014). Along with regular commissioned works, she creates photographic feature stories for Happinez magazine, based in the Netherlands.

Pia is the author and photographer of Paris: Made by Hand (2009), Amsterdam: Made by Hand (2010), My Heart Wanders (2011), Little Treasures: Made by Hand (2013) and Festive Season: Reimagined (2018). Having grown up in Australia, Canada, USA and Italy, Pia completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sydney, Australia, before moving to Paris and Amsterdam where she created a home and studio on a houseboat. She currently lives and works on Bundjalung Country, Byron Bay, NSW, Australia
