Damien Horton is an author, motivational speaker, mentor, musician, and an avid lover of dogs. He currently lives in Adelaide, South Australia. In August 2007, after more than 10 years of self-hate, addiction and depression, Damien crashed his car at high speed into a rock embankment and suffered horrific injuries. He was placed in an induced coma while a team of surgeons worked tirelessly to put his face back together using titanium plates and screws. During his coma, Damien experienced a profound spiritual awakening and was given a choice: to return to pain and addiction or to connect with self-love and a greater purpose. He woke from the coma and under the most difficult of circumstances he set about transforming himself and healing his injuries. Damien walked out of hospital just 12 days later weighing only 42 kgs and succeeded in creating a brand-new life. This experience kick-started a 10-year journey of self-discovery and self-empowerment along with research into the nature of our survival behaviours, the mind body connection, meditation, emotion, consciousness, and spirituality. Today Damien is passionate about teaching others how they too can transform their lives. He is available for speaking engagements, one on one mentoring sessions and for work-shops.
