Suzy Wilson
Suzy Wilson is the Founder and CEO of Bottoms Up Colonics and the Australia International Colon Hydrotherapy Training Centre. For more than 2 decades, she has led a quiet but steady evolution in colon hydrotherapy: redefining an ancient cleansing practice through the lens of modern physiology, cellular hydration and whole-person care.

More than 25 years ago, Suzy was a burnt-out social worker entering early menopause and struggling with her health, energy and sense of direction. She felt depleted, disconnected and unheard within conventional systems. It was during this period that she experienced colon hydrotherapy for the first time.

After that session, she felt something she had never felt before. A genuine connection to her own body. There was clarity where there had been fog. Stability where there had been volatility. For the first time in years, her body felt cooperative. That experience did not feel superficial. It felt systemic. And it ignited a question that would shape the rest of her life: What had just shifted?

Determined to understand the physiology behind her experience and share this with the world, Suzy trained with pioneers in the field, including Margaret White and Luis Rojas. She immersed herself in both the foundations of colon hydrotherapy and its clinical application, eventually refining the technique through decades of practice. Her work developed a clear emphasis on elimination, absorption, detoxification and, most importantly, cellular hydration.

Over time, her understanding expanded beyond the bowel itself. She began to see the colon not as an isolated organ of waste, but as a gateway into systemic health. While nutrition enters through the mouth and travels a complex digestive journey, the colon offers more direct interaction with the body’s internal terrain: influencing circulation, hydration, detoxification pathways and nervous system regulation.

But her work does not stop at physiology alone...

Suzy recognises that we are not just working with a bowel. We are working with the entire digestive system, the microbial environment and terrain, the lymphatic system, the nervous system and the emotional system, all of which are intimately connected.

In her clinical experience, stagnation is not only physical. The body stores stress. It carries emotional load. There is memory within tissue. When flow is restored at a cellular level, people experience shifts.
