Carried by Horses

Wendy Jones was born in 1962 into a farming family and lived on a mixed dairy farm near Kilkivan in Southeast Queensland. There she grew up and developed a love of all animals, but particularly horses, dogs and cats.

After finishing school, she attended the Queensland Agricultural College at Gatton (now the University of Queensland Gatton Campus) where she attained a B. App. Sci. (Rur. Tech.) (Hons.). Wendy worked for five years for the Queensland Department of Primary Industries in Brisbane. She also studied externally during this time through Griffith University for a Master of Philosophy degree.

After marrying in 1988, Wendy and her husband Noel moved to Central Queensland to work in her father’s business in 1989. Eventually they changed to working on the family cattle properties. It was only after their three children had left home in 2012 that Wendy started pursuing her interest in intuition and matters more spiritual in nature. By this time, Wendy had amassed a vast knowledge in the general care and management of horses, cats and dogs as well as developing an innate sense of their emotions and physical wellbeing. In 2017 Wendy realized that she was being shown she had intuitive gifts, although it took some years for her to develop those further.

Wendy now lives with Noel on a farm near Pittsworth on the Darling Downs, Queensland. She still has horses, dogs, cats and chickens. This property has allowed Wendy the mental space to connect more fully with nature, and animals in particular, and to put pen to paper and write this first book about her physical and intuitive relationship with horses and the very welcome but unexpected spiritual journey this has taken her on.
