The Faery-Tail Oracle honours 45 different, traditional, and dearly loved faery tales, with each beautifully illustrated card offering a special message. As the title suggests, each human character in this set is made even more appealing with a whimsical hint of animal-inspired features. The author believes that all stories are improved greatly when the hero is seen sporting animal ears, antlers or a tail, especially when their enhancements offer insight into their unique totemic or archetypal qualities. With every card you choose, you will be magically transported to the realm of Faery, where you will meet your most beloved characters and embark on brave adventures. Together you will learn to face your fears, explore your morals, and resolve life challenges that may have unconsciously held you back or hindered your perception of the world since you were young.

Often, after reading a magical story, we are then left wondering, ‘What was that all about; why did the story speak so loudly to me and, what was the moral? The Faery-Tail Oracle Cards open the door to adventure, while forcing us to ask the probing questions that stimulate self-investigation and invite us to take a closer look at our values and beliefs. With each message comes a lesson and opportunity to live a richer, more aware life. By immersing ourselves in tales like the Little Match Girl or The Brave Little Tailor, we are gifted the magical opportunity to witness the world through their eyes. Step back into times long gone, visit mysterious lands shrouded in fantasy, and experience the lessons of the anthropomorphic folk that live there. The Faery-Tail Oracle transforms our mundane world into a place rich with healing, magic, and possibility.

Author Bio

Anita Inverarity
Artist and author Anita Inverarity resides with her partner and feline companions in the rural Scottish countryside. Her garden receives many visitors including badgers, hares, foxes and deer, who find their way into her artworks. Inspired by mythology, ancient wisdom and the potent alchemy of liminal spaces and sacred ancestral sites, Anita’s ink drawings are distinctly recognisable. With a blend of folkloric and art nouveau aesthetics, her creations are threaded with magic and ornamentation in a unique art language.

Anita excelled at art in school and returned to it in her forties after a period of ill health forced her to work from home. Since then, her artwork has appeared far and wide, from Scotland’s National Galleries and Museums, to the celebrated fashion house Zimmermann, as well as album covers, prints, and so much more.

In more recent years, Anita launched “The Milk Thistle Moon Reading Room” at her home gallery where she explores transformational spiritual practices with others through her art and prose. She has created, illustrated and authored oracle and tarot decks, throughout which you will find beautifully costumed maidens and other beings in moonlit gardens with crystals, talismans and symbolism to evoke nature and earth magic.

In all its forms, Anita’s artwork invites you to look closer, enjoy the details and delight in a glimpse of other worlds.
